Blue Runs in the Family...

Well, its true! At one point in life my favorite color was actually green... And then Mega man all day every day. So yeah, duh, I'm obsessed. With blue, with mega, rock, Japan, all of the above. I was infected at such a young age hehe..

Anyway... It's about time I brought out some more of my characters! Go my children! Have fun on the internet! Obviously these aren't ALL of my characters... I was in a lazy doodle mood... There's waaay too many for me to handle in lazy doodle mode. So these are like my MAIN main characters. Like, not just the mains but the ones that have prevailed against all odds, expanded into entirely new universes, or just plain have a special place in my heart... So allow me to introduce everyone!

Saiko
ME! As if you couldn't tell by the pic... I tried to set this thing up kinda like a timeline with each character following the proceeding one. Although my little avatar guy is new, I thought it would be cool to have him leading everyone. I am their creator after all. And I kinda am leading them... Into existence. And into the world so hopefully all of you guys can love with them as much as I have. Although.. It's not nearly as hard for me. Every piece of art is kinda like a little piece of my soul. Theres a piece of me in all these characters, which is why I used to always be so careful about not sharing their stories and stuff so my ideas weren't stolen (yes, we'll get to this). But now, luckily I have a nice little account on this cool website called DeviantArt where my little monstrosities can invade the screens of the poor, helpless innocents. hehe...

Spyke
Look familiar? He should. Seriously, like 90% of that is pokemon... I know, I know, he's not really my character. But I decided to include him anyway because of the insane impact he's had on my life... Ok so... starting at Pokemon. Yeah I'm a gen 3er and GEN 3s THE BEST!!! LOVE HOENN! Eh. Anyway.. So obviously I was reeeeally young, and I kinda thought of my character as me and so I kinda "became" him? I don't really know. The normal trainer basically became how I represented myself. And as I was using that wonderful child imagination, he somehow got mixed into original story. Of course, what kindergartener knows what copyright laws are? So I build the entire story "Black Blue Dragons" (The name sounds stupid now but... Still can't bring myself to change it) around this character. Later I revised and gave him a COMPLETELY original flashback kinda prequel where he was younger and had an original design. I wanted to show in the drawing where his inspiration came from but I also wanted to show some of that so I gave him his little gauntlet thing and he's holding what I called a "dragon disk." Kinda works like pokemon, but my whole story is centered on dragons so yeah. Actually it was probably closest to Fossil Fighters... But yeah.. I'm not gonna go into detail on the story just because it is the most comprehensive probably but also the least refined just because it is so old, and since it has such deep roots, I honestly don't want to change it. I mean, this was it. This was THE story. The one that was just a game once, and then as the 4 year old me sat down and tried to draw step by step as I watched pokemon on tv for reference, that was the day, I decided that I wanted to animate movies. This was the story of my entire dream. And it hasn't changed one bit! I'm never gonna stop running toward that! 

Yuichi
I confess... I couldn't remember his actual name. [EDIT: I found it! His name was simply "Flame"] So I fitted him with a new one. *sigh* I remember EVERY detail of the story but not the main characters name. Guess I was secretive even to myself... Shadow Fighters! This was another one that evolved from playing around with my brother.. I was only a little older so maybe 5 or 6? This was my "revolutionary" idea to make the bad guys the good guys. It was set up so that there was the Shadow Fighters (blue), Shadow Keepers (green), and Shadow Lords (red). One from each category all corresponded to the same symbol and they were meant to act as a sort of team. The Fighters and Keepers would go around travelling through the shadows in the real world, while the Shadow Lords regulated things from afar and didn't step in for much. Obviously the fighter was the fighter and the keeper would kinda manage the fighter and could also act as a healer when necessary. It was set up so what they were doing was evil but Yuichi did it thinking it was just and later discovered some scheming and had to fight the shadow lords... blah blah blah... Really the reason I included this was because it was the first really really real, big story thing that I created.

Takira
Hehe... Can ya tell I just made up his name? This was still before the days when I looked up Japanese names... I tried to kinda just make em up myself. Turns out I guessed pretty well with the villain, Shiyaku, but Takira's kinda nothing. In Japanese at least. Anyway, Takira is where things start getting good, and he's one of my more special characters I think. Takira is from "Element Wars." What could that possibly be about... So theres 6 elements, plus the extras Light and Dark. Shiyaku was possessed by the element of darkness, so Takira merged with the element of Light to save him and prevent him from stealing away and collecting all the other elements. More than anything, this world feels closest to Bionicle. If you've ever watched those movies you can kinda get the gist of what the later seasons were supposed to be. Season 1 really is the most original with it being direct light vs dark. Oh yeah, this was originally going to be an animated series I posted on YouTube. I've actually started making it a few times but that was back when all I had was paint and movie maker so I scrapped the animation til I could get better. Then I never could decide on the style... I don't intend on giving up on EW though... I really still love it and it will be revived for like the 5th time some day!

Phoenix
Ok big time jump. 7th grade now. Short story. Lazy. Fire kid. "Eh phoenixes are cool, lets do that." Really cheesy story. Where are my writing skills. cringe. cringe. meh.
Welp, to go with all that cheese I'm not even gonna bother to mention, this kids name was originally Blade. I used to think it was so cool... bleeeh... cheeeeese... so I renamed him. Because wynaut...
This kid is probably the most emotionally damaged of the group, if ya can't tell... Basically in the end he finds out his "dead" brother, who he totally loved, and broke down at the funeral for, and could barely go to school, was the very villain he had come to hate for his atrocious crimes. And he kills him. Well he thinks but you know, he is so scarred after that. He becomes a loner. Forgets school and silently helps people for no reason. He feels nothing saving them because he failed to save his brother. And he explodes at injustice. Don't mess with the Phoenix...

Glitch
Glitch! Yay! I love Glitch! (his story is in my journal, check it out) I don't really need to tell his story here, and I'm getting really tired so I'm gonna skip his rant haha... Still... I do intend to bring him back as well...

Satoshi
Another one that should look familiar. Seiya clone? No... But when I was designing Seiya, I couldn't help but see some part of Satoshi in him, and I just had to bring it out. Satoshi was going to be my manga. Ryukoto. It was basically like my kinda Pokemon x "dragon disks" x Element Wars kinda thing... but it just didn't work out. Too many holes, couldn't decide on other characters designs, just nothing was working. So I kinda just shifted away... And it's still kinda sad cuz I LOVED Satoshi. Like really really loved him. I drew him everywhere. He undoubtedly has the most space in any of my sketchbooks between all my characters. He was when I first discovered I could take a picture of my art and color it digitally. He was my first time-lapsed drawing. Satoshi was literally everything. And I miss him. So he may not live on with his own story, but he lives on through the others, like Seiya, and through all my drawings of him. So maybe I will see him in the future. Not with his own story but just, Satoshi.

Seiya
The latest member... Seiya! I don't really need to explain here... He's so recent. Everything about him is right here on DA. (He's surprised at the resemblance hehe...)

Oh yeah... I wanted to find my original works of these guys to show the progression but I mostly only found revivals. Spyke I couldn't find at all so I just did my random little trainer, Yuichi is first revival (couldn't draw his hair right lol), Takira is 2nd or 3rd (I lose track with EW), Phoenix is 1st (pretty close to the original tho), and then Glitch, Satoshi, and Seiya are original.
